About the role The European Head of Commercial is in charge of the largest client portfolio and sales team within PUR. You will lead all aspects of business development, client delivery, success, and long-term relationship management in the region. This role ensures that PUR delivers its commercial and impact commitments efficiently, profitably, and with exceptional client experience. The European Head of Commercial is the owner of the European P&L of PUR; the role reports to the Chief Growth Officer. This position requires strong leadership across business development, partnership management, client success, and delivery of impact and financial results. Your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
Strategic Origination & Business Development Lead the origination and closing of high-value corporate partnerships. Build and nurture relationships with C-level stakeholders in multinational companies. Develop long-term frameworks and partnerships to drive sustainable revenue. Support and mentor the business development team to strengthen pipeline creation. Client Success & Retention Own end-to-end client relationships, ensuring high-quality delivery and satisfaction. Define growth and renewal strategies for key accounts. Monitor client health (renewals, satisfaction, engagement) and drive retention. Project Delivery & P&L Oversight Oversee project performance, ensuring alignment with budget and commercial terms. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Legal, Technical). Anticipate risks and ensure strong delivery governance. Contract & Commercial Management Lead contract negotiation, implementation, and evolution. Ensure consistency in terms, pricing, and risk management. Promote strong contract ownership and margin discipline. Revenue & Forecasting Track revenue performance and ensure accurate forecasting. Monitor key metrics such as NRR, churn, and delivery efficiency. Leadership & Team Development Contribute to the commercial strategy as part of the leadership team. Build and mentor high-performing teams. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

We are looking for someone with: 10+ years of experience in B2B sales and business development leadership roles, ideally within sustainability, agri-supply chains, carbon markets, or related sectors. Demonstrated track record of delivering multi-million-euro revenue targets. Experience building and/or leading Revenue Operations functions. Strong expertise in financial modelling, pricing strategies, and contract negotiation. Proven commercial leader with strong emotional intelligence, sound judgement, and the ability to inspire and align teams. Strategic and data-driven thinker with strong commercial acumen and a values-driven leadership approach. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments. Passion for nature, sustainability, and business transformation. MSc, MBA, or equivalent qualification in international business or a related field preferred. Fluency in English is required; French proficiency is a plus. Willingness to travel frequently (multiple times per month) to client locations across major European cities, with occasional travel (once per quarter) to regional or project sites. Why Join PUR?
