Job Description
Why Join Us
Get ready to Own the journey as a European Logistics Coordinator at Trouw Nutrition GB, a Nutreco company. As global leaders in animal nutrition, our shared purpose of Feeding the Future is making a positive impact for generations to come. Join us in this dynamic logistics role and play a key part in ensuring our products reach customers across Europe safely, compliantly, and on time.
Are you organised, detail-oriented, and eager to develop your career in logistics? Join our team at the Ashbourne site, where you will take full ownership of the export logistics process for our premium animal feed products. From navigating complex customs procedures and managing sanitary compliance to coordinating the safe transport of hazardous goods, you will play a critical role in delivering an outstanding customer experience.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you can expand your logistics expertise, build international supply chain knowledge, and contribute directly to the efficiency and success of our operations.
What You'll Do
As we sell directly to customers across Europe on DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms, you will be the cornerstone of our export operations, ensuring shipments move seamlessly from our facility to the customer's door.
- End-to-End Export Management: coordinate all aspects of European shipments, ensuring compliance with DDP terms, from order processing to final delivery at the customer's site.
- Customs & Documentation: prepare and manage all export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists and product specifications. Act as the primary point of contact for customs brokers and authorities to ensure timely clearance.
- SPS Regulatory Compliance: oversee the specialised requirements for exporting animal feed products under SPS controls, including producing necessary health certificates, ensuring veterinary inspections are booked and maintaining full compliance with EU import regulations.
- Hazardous Goods Management: manage the logistics for our hazardous product lines. Ensure all shipments adhere to ADR and other relevant safety regulations, including proper labelling, documentation and carrier compliance.
- Carrier Relations: manage relationships with hauliers and freight forwarders. Monitor performance and help ensure we are using efficient and cost-effective routes for European delivery.
- Stakeholder Communication: serve as the bridge between production, quality, customer service teams and end customers, providing regular shipment updates and resolving transit issues quickly and effectively.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
