Location: Oxford, UK
Duration: 12 months (with possible extension) Contract Day Rate: GBP 125–130/day (inside IR35) Experience: 4–7 years Work Model: All 5 days per week on-site at client location Occasional weekend support when required Hybrid policy: Not applicable (on-site majority)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled EUS Engineer – R&D Lab Support to provide mission-critical on-site IT support for R&D labs and engineering environments. This role ensures:
- High availability
- Security
- Reliability of lab systems, instrument PCs, engineering workstations, and Intune-managed endpoints
- Support for research, testing, and validation activities
Key Responsibilities: R&D Lab & Engineering IT Support
- Deliver end-to-end IT support for R&D lab environments, including:
- Instrument PCs
- Test benches
- Data acquisition (DAQ) systems
- Engineering workstations
- Install, configure, validate, and troubleshoot supporting:
- Instrument/OEM software
- Drivers
- Firmware
- Calibration tools
- Ensure seamless and secure connectivity between lab instruments, test systems, and engineering endpoints
- Support specialized lab peripherals while operating within restricted/secured lab networks and maintaining compliance

Key Responsibilities: End-User Services & Site IT Operations
- Own day-to-day IT operations as the first escalation point for critical incidents
- Ensure IT readiness for employee onboarding/offboarding (devices, system access, administrators)
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors for issue resolution
Key Responsibilities: Endpoint, Intune & OS Management
- Manage Intune/Endpoint Manager for device enrollment, configuration, and compliance monitoring
- Deploy applications, scripts, drivers, and OS updates
- Support Windows Autopilot, OS resets, and provisioning workflows
- Build, maintain, and version-control golden OS images (for lab/engineering systems)
- Perform system hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation (OS & BIOS level)
Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure & Network Support
- Manage network/folder infrastructure:
- Active Directory users/groups, OUs, GPOs, and access controls
- Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, file shares, and NTFS permissions
- Resolve issues on-site:
- LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity
- IP conflicts
- VLAN problems (coordination with network team)

Key Responsibilities: IT Asset, Documentation & Training
- Maintain inventory and lifecycle tracking of:
- Engineering laptops/desktops
- Lab systems and peripherals
- Conduct audits and manage:
- Warranties
- Asset maintenance contracts (AMCs)
- Create and maintain:
- SOPs
- Installation guides
- Recovery procedures
- User documentation
- Provide IT security awareness, tools, and guidance for engineers/lab users
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience in End-User Services / IT Support, preferably in:
- R&D, lab, or manufacturing environments
- Strong expertise in:
- Intune/Endpoint Manager
- Entra ID (Azure AD)/Exchange/SharePoint
- Active Directory, DNS, GPOs
- OS imaging/Windows Autopilot
- Endpoint security / device compliance monitoring
- Relevant experience supporting:
- Engineering systems
- Lab/test equipment
- Professional qualification as a minimum, with some options:
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in IT, Computer Science, or Electronics (or equivalent)
