Evaluation Manager
Location: London (with hybrid working – a minimum of one full day per week in the London office)
About the Organisation
Our client is dedicated to supporting education to break down barriers between student success and finance.
They specialise in:
- Conducting research to inform sector-wide initiatives.
- Collaborating with schools to drive impactful learner-focused programmes.
They are now seeking a full-time, 40-hour-per-week Evaluation Manager, with contracts of up to 12 months.

The Role: Evaluation Manager
In this influential position, you will lead the commissioning and management of high-quality evaluations for our client’s projects, aiming to strengthen evidence-based practice in their sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead rigorous, end-to-end evaluations of projects from design to delivery, ensuring robust outputs.
- Commission evaluations in key areas, reviewing proposals and matching external evaluators with projects.
- Act as the primary liaison between evaluators, stakeholders, and programme teams.
- Chair meetings to ensure effective project setup.
- Proactively identify risks and challenges, offering solutions and administrative support.
- Manage evaluation contracts and budgets effectively.
- Conduct technical reviews of all evaluation aspects alongside peers.
- Contribute to evaluation guidance and best practice development.
- Support the dissemination of findings in clear, accessible formats.
About You: Requirements & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience delivering or commissioning evaluation projects in education, health, or related sectors.
- A strong understanding of evaluation methodologies, including:
- Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs)
- Quasi-experimental designs
- Exceptional relationship management skills.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication (ability to condense complex information for diverse audiences).
- Advanced project management skills, with experience handling multiple concurrent projects.
- A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- A degree with substantial methodological research training OR equivalent experience.
