Are you kind, reliable and looking for meaningful evening work?

At Visiting Angels South East London, we are looking for compassionate Evening Caregivers, known as Angels, to support people in their own homes when they need comfort, care and reassurance the most.

Evening visits can make a huge difference. You may be helping someone enjoy their dinner, settle safely for the night, feel less lonely or simply end their day with dignity and peace of mind.

What you’ll be doing

As an Evening Angel, you will visit clients in their own homes and help them feel safe, comfortable and cared for at the end of the day.

Your Role May Include

  • Preparing evening meals and drinks
  • Supporting with personal care, washing and changing
  • Helping clients get ready for bed
  • Medication support, where trained
  • Companionship and friendly conversation
  • Light household tasks
  • Supporting mobility and safe transfers
  • Providing reassurance and emotional support
  • Following care plans and reporting any concerns

Who we’re looking for

You do not need to have years of experience. You just need to be:

  • Kind, patient and caring
  • Reliable and committed to evening work
  • Friendly, respectful and professional
  • Willing to support with personal care
  • Able to communicate clearly
  • Ready to learn and follow guidance
  • Passionate about helping others

Previous care experience is welcome, but the right attitude is just as important.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Be available to work evenings
  • Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check
  • Be able to provide professional references
  • Have a caring, reliable and professional nature
