Evening Document Production Specialist (3.30pm - 10pm / 30 hours)

Document Production Specialist

Department: Document Production Centre Location: Birmingham

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Document Production Specialist to join our Document Production Centre, working 30 hours per week. The successful candidate will provide high-quality document production support to fee earners across the firm, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and exceptional client service.

Working hours:

  • Standard shift: 3:30pm–10:00pm
  • Half-hour unpaid break (Mon–Fri)
  • Split shift option available:
    • 8:00am–10:00am
    • 6:00pm–10:00pm (mandatory)

The Role

Join a busy Document Production Centre, supporting fee earners by delivering accurate, high-quality document production services in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce, amend, and format complex legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Proofread and perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Create and amend electronic bundles and bibles.
  • Manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with fee earners to deliver a professional and efficient service.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the Document Production Centre.

The Candidate – Key Requirements

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

  • Essential qualifications/experience:
    • Previous experience in document production.
    • Typing speed of 60+ words per minute.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Experience formatting complex legal documents.
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
    • Strong communication and organisation abilities.
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
