Event Assistant Summer Placement Scheme at Goodwood
We are once again running our Event Assistant summer placement scheme at Goodwood. From early May through to the end of September 2026, we will be offering the unique opportunity to join the Event Operations Team at the heart of delivering our spectacular headline events; Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival.
Scheme Details
The scheme is open to event management students, recent graduates, and those with a passion for events, looking at this opportunity to build experience ahead of a career in events, potentially at Goodwood!
In this exciting and fast-paced role, every day will be different. You will join a fun and passionate team, supporting our team of Event Planners to build the Festival of Speed, one of the largest greenfield event sites in the UK, before moving on to enjoy the build, theatrics and set dressing of the Goodwood Revival. You will gain exposure into the operations and logistics involved with delivering world-class events and leave with an abundance of experience under your belt.
Requirements
The role is fixed-term, from May until the end of September. Due to the nature of events and the requirements of this role, there are some restrictions on when holiday can be taken, as follows:

- Between 25th May - 5th June (up to 2 days permitted)
- Between 8th June - 17th July (no holiday permitted)
- Between 20th July - 24th July (up to 2 days permitted)
- Between 10th August - 21st August (up to 2 days permitted)
- Between 24th August - 2nd October (no holiday permitted)
Unfortunately, we are unable to progress with any candidates who wish to take holiday during the periods mentioned above. There may be exceptions made for individual date requests for graduation and other similar life events. Please specify these requests in your application.
Normal working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with extended hours and some weekend working required in the lead-up to each of the events.

What You Will Need
- A passion for delivering Events, ideally studying Events Management or similar at university
- To be gregarious and enjoy working in a team
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and remain calm under pressure
- Outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to use your initiative, multi-task and think laterally
- A passion to deliver a great customer experience
- The drive to get stuck in to the practical build
- A valid UK driving licence (ideally)
