Event Assistant - Summer Placement
Event Assistant Summer Placement Scheme – Goodwood
We are once again running our Event Assistant summer placement scheme at Goodwood. From early May through to the end of September 2026, we will be offering the unique opportunity to join the Event Operations Team at the heart of delivering our spectacular headline events: Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival.
Scheme Overview
The scheme is open to:
- Event management students
- Recent graduates
- Individuals with a passion for events, seeking experience for a career in events, potentially at Goodwood!
In this exciting and fast-paced role, every day will be different. You will:
- Join a fun and passionate team
- Support our team of Event Planners in building the Festival of Speed, one of the largest greenfield event sites in the UK
- Experience the build, theatrics, and set dressing of the Goodwood Revival
- Gain exposure into operations and logistics for delivering world-class events
- Build an abundance of experience in event management
Key Responsibilities
Requirements and Working Hours:
- Fixed-term role from May to the end of September.
- Due to operational demands, there are holiday restrictions:
- 25th May – 5th June: Up to 2 days permitted
- 8th June – 17th July: No holiday permitted
- 20th July – 24th July: Up to 2 days permitted
- 10th August – 21st August: Up to 2 days permitted
- 24th August – 2nd October: No holiday permitted Graduation/exceptional circumstances may be tabled; please specify in your application.

- Standard hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm (Mon-Fri)
- Circumstances may require:
- Extended hours
- Weekend work, particularly leading up to events

Requirements & Qualifications
What You Will Need To be a successful candidate, you must demonstrate:
- A passion for delivering events, ideally studying Event Management or a related course
- Gregarious nature and ability to work well in a team
- Proficiency in meeting strict deadlines while remaining calm under pressure
- Outstanding attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Initiative, ability to multi-task, and lateral thinking
- Vision for delivering great customer experiences
- Drive to get hands-on in practical setups and builds
- Valid UK driving licence (preferred)
