Job Opportunity: Event Professional
We are looking for an event professional with strong planning, organisation, and task management skills to join our Events Team in delivering the University’s events programme.
About the Role
This is an 18-month fixed-term role where you will work behind the scenes to plan and coordinate the successful delivery of events from start to finish. The role is not solely office-based and will require flexibility, including evening and weekend working.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of event management
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to events and content that enhance the University’s reputation, support student recruitment, and showcase our strengths in student experience, teaching quality, research impact, and industry relevance

Job Details
- Type: Fixed-term contract
- Duration: 18 months
- Start Date: Anticipated week commencing 10 August 2026
- End Date: Until 21 March 2028
- Working Arrangement: Hybrid working, with the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days per week. Increased office presence will be required in the lead-up to and delivery of events.

Salary Information:
New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
