Events Executive
Available from: Late September 2026 Team: CPD/Professional Learning (with additional responsibilities in the student events team)
COBIS is seeking to appoint an Events Executive to join the team from September 2026 to support with an exciting calendar of global professional learning courses and conferences, as well as student activities and competitions for schools worldwide.
About the Role
You will contribute to the administration, logistics and high-quality delivery of the wide range of COBIS CPD and student events. The role will take on a variety of administrative duties to ensure COBIS events (online, hybrid, and face-to-face) run smoothly and successfully.
Your role will include:
- Live and online CPD and student event administration
- Conference delivery (face-to-face and virtual) including exhibition management
- Promoting events across multiple communication channels
- Post-event support including certificates, feedback, data tracking
This is a rewarding and varied role, working as part of the friendly, dedicated COBIS team, supporting an international network of schools, students, and educational suppliers.
About You
You are an organised and proactive individual, with strong communication skills and attention to detail, and experience in event management or administration. You will bring:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and clarity, both written and verbal
- Secure digital and ICT skills
- Experience in event management or a similar administrative role
- Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- An interest in education and global opportunities

Renumeration and Conditions of Service
- The post is available from late September 2026
- Salary package is £28,500 per annum. The position is considered a full-time position.
- Working hours/days are 9:00-5:00 with a half-hour for lunch, but flexibility around hours would be considered.
- Hybrid/remote working with a flexible working policy
- The candidate will be required to attend the COBIS Annual Conference which takes place over 3 days in London in May
- Holiday entitlement of 25 days (pro rata) plus statutory bank holidays
- Access to pension scheme in line with pension regulations. COBIS employee pension contribution is at 5% of salary

COBIS Safer Recruitment Procedure
Candidates must be willing to undertake a safer recruitment check. If appropriate to the role, a DBS check will be requested if an applicant is offered a contract of employment. All COBIS staff are required to undertake safeguarding training. At least two professional references, both written and verbal, will be sourced from current and former employers as appropriate.

Place of Work
COBIS staff currently work predominantly remotely, with some working days in the COBIS Head Office and other locations. This is expected to be a hybrid role, predominantly home working, with the option to work in the Head Office and the expectation that some team meetings and events will be office based.
The contractual place of work for this role will be the COBIS Head Office. The office is currently located in: Temple Chambers, Temple/Blackfriars, Central London.
