Job Purpose
You’ll join a team deeply committed to not only their specific roles but to our collective goal of managing and delivering insightful events curated for our audience. If you are eager to contribute your event management expertise to facilitate smooth, professional events that reflect our company’s purpose and drive, this position is ideal for you.
Key Accountabilities and Scope
- Support the team while planning and executing the end-to-end logistics for different events formats: in-person (potentially online in the future) including forums, round tables, and bespoke meetings in the UK and potentially Europe
- Support the team with the build-up of the flagship multi-day conferences and the awards gala (suppliers comms, admin tasks, proofreading, printing, etc)
- Liaise with different team members, speakers (calendar invites, updating timings, and confirming dietary requirements) and sponsors (manage sponsor deliverables) in order to bring the events to life and ensure their commercial success
- Run the event on the day by yourself (size and geography dependent) or support the events team
- Place orders for event materials and keep track of the stock (notebooks, pens, etc)
- You will be working closely with senior stakeholders within the company

Skills and Qualifications

- Minimum 1-2 years in the management and delivery of events, ideally but not mandatory, in the financial service / professional service industry
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time, work well under pressure either independently or as part of a team
- Focused and deadline driven, to ensure the job is completed to the correct business requirements
- Impeccable attention to detail and meticulous planning skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the professionalism and confidence to liaise with senior level industry contacts
- Tech-savvy and able to pick up new platforms (e.g. virtual events platforms, event app, etc)
- Startup mindset - ready to learn, adapt & initiate quickly
- Practical website skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
