About us United Media focuses on building large scale industry media and conferences products in sectors such as insurance, HR, private equity, retail, etc. As of today, we have organically launched 8 media companies and acquired one. (Insurtech Insights, Presidents Summit, Private Equity Insights, HRtechX, CFO insights, Retail Insights and SetSales) What we offer you As our Event & Experience Associate, you'll have the unique opportunity to be part of building and scaling a company. By providing you with the ownership of our operations, we want to constantly push you out of your comfort zone. You’ll be working out of our HQ in London and to ensure a never ending growth curve, we provide you with: An opportunity for getting operational experience in a scale-up where both your work and the results are highly tangible and matters to the business A chance to work closely together with the CPO on the strategy for our conferences Unlimited growth potential in our company - we strongly believe in and have a track record of promoting internally Your Responsibilities Your responsibilities will vary; however, some of them will be to: Plan, structure and coordinate all conferences on a strategic level; decide on dates, choose venues and negotiate best price Create the greatest conference experiences by innovating on creative new opportunities and ideas Negotiate with vendors (catering, accommodation, transportation, facilities) Plan conferences on an operational level e.g. floor planning, invitations, signage, special needs requirements, printing etc. Manage conferences by ensuring everything runs smoothly on the days of our conferences enabling us to always surpass our former high attendee satisfaction What we expect from you You possess an unparalleled work ethic with a high sense of urgency. You have a relentless drive and desire to be the very best at what you do. You take ownership of everything you do, are proactive and follow through on commitments. Moreover, you’re humble and you share our passion for building and executing new businesses. Furthermore, we expect that you: Have acquired a bachelor's or master's degree with outstanding results Willing to work in a role with outstanding performance within event planning or coordination, marketing, public relations or another relevant field Have a UK work permit Have an exceptional eye for aesthetics and details Are well-organised and able to structure and prioritise your work Like to build and nurture relations Possess great negotiation skills Startdate Flexible The role is onsite, Monday to Friday, based in our offices at Buckingham Gate. It is essential we work at a fast pace and collaborate in person to create market-leading, unmatched events throughout the calendar year. It will be great to have you as part of our team.
