Job Description
Location: 10 Paradise Walk
Higher level apprenticeship in Event Management in conjunction with Belfast Met
Combining a relevant accredited qualification with invaluable “on the job” training, the Higher Level Apprenticeship in Event Management delivers for both skills development and knowledge enhancement using a blended learning and mentor based approach. Working towards the achievement of a Foundation Degree in Event Management, the successful candidate will benefit from learning and development in core skills such as people management and marketing as well as sector specific modules such as Leisure and Events Operations, Digitalisation for Events and Contemporary Event Management.
The successful candidate will work as part of the events team at Doubletree Templepatrick and attend Belfast Met 1 day per week on day release.

About The Role
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1 day per week at Belfast Met on day release Respond to enquiries of potential guests and clients, by way of telephone, email, online and in-person, in a timely and professional manner. Completion of all scheduled and ‘walk-in’ client appointments Assist with the delivery of hotel showcases for the market segments of: Weddings, Corporate, Leisure & Golf clients. Contribute to the delivery of an effective sales process; from sales generation, sales leads follow up, and converting sales leads to paying customers, revenue maximization and the development of loyal repeat customers. Assist with market, competitor, and industry research to create offerings that are continuously meeting the demand of the potential market segments of Weddings, Conferences, Meetings, Events, Leisure & Golf. Effective communication of all planned events to the operational departments of the hotel Completion of all financial transactions, ensuring that all revenues are collected for services delivered. Ongoing customer relationship management, including acquisition of customer feedback, and dissemination to the relevant hotel departments. Implementation of feedback to ensure continuous improvement of offerings. Creating opportunities for future revenue from each customer Collation and dissemination of all information from relevant weekly hotel meetings

What We Are Looking For
candidates who are interested in a career in Event Management candidates must be able to meet entry criteria for the course-min of 64 tariff points and min grade C/04 in GCSE English Language(or equivalent)

must have right to work in UK must meet set entry criteria for the course must be able to work full time, Monday to Friday , the occasional late night or weekend may be required must be interested in a career in Hospitality Event Management must have good communication skills-verbal and written must have working knowledge of word and excel
