Event Manager – Business Consultancy Firm (London Office)
About the Role
Our client is a global strategy consulting firm renowned for advising senior leaders of leading businesses on their most crucial commercial strategies. With a strong international presence and deep sector expertise, they guide organisations through complex business challenges—helping them secure sustainable growth.
This newly created role is the perfect fit for a results-driven professional passionate about delivering high-impact events. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, the Event Manager will spearhead premium, commercially focused in-person and virtual events across London and Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on end-to-end accountability, excels in consulting partnerships, and delivers events that foster engagement, deepen relationships, and advance business development objectives.
The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute a diverse programme of sector-aligned events, including conferences, tailored to consulting priorities and geographic growth ambitions
- Turn event objectives into measurable delivery plans, defining agendas, audience alignment, success metrics, and timelines
- Manage full lifecycle execution of events—ensuring seamlessly delivered, high-quality experiences whether in-person or virtual
- Lead all event marketing initiatives, including outreach campaigns, registration management, attendee communications, and post-event follow-up processes
- Collaborate closely with Partners and senior stakeholders to align events with commercial goals and client priorities
- Partner with external venues, suppliers, and co-sponsors, maintaining brand consistency and professional standards
- Track event data, monitor attendance, deliver post-event reporting, and distil insights for strategic recommendations
- Oversee budget adherence, supplier engagements, and adherence to firm-wide policies

About You
Our ideal candidate has:
✔ Proven expertise in delivering end-to-end event programmes, with a preference for professional services or consulting experience ✔ Confident project management skills, capable of handling multiple time-sensitive tasks with precision ✔ Strong ability to engage senior internal and external stakeholders, including client Partners and third-party vendors ✔ Attention to detail and consistent excellence; maintaining high standards in every aspect of event delivery ✔ Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills ✔ Exceptional organisational discipline, with a structured, methodical approach to overcoming challenges ✔ Technical proficiency, including CRM experience (preferably Salesforce) and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and event management tools ✔ A collaborative mindset, with a proactive approach to taking initiative and driving outcomes
