The Role

Event Manager

As an Event Manager at MOI, you will lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of exceptional event experiences for global B2B clients. You will be responsible for developing strategic event plans, managing budgets and vendors, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless execution from concept through to post-event evaluation.

You will act as a key client partner, aligning event objectives with broader campaign goals and delivering experiences that exemplify our clients’ brands while exceeding expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal & Pitch Development

  • Lead development of tailored event proposals aligned to client briefs and strategic objectives
  • Shape pitch strategy and coordinate internal contributors
  • Ensure feasibility, financial accuracy, and strong commercial thinking

Event Marketing & Positioning

  • Contribute to event-specific marketing strategies
  • Identify target audiences and support messaging alignment
  • Collaborate with creative and content teams to ensure consistent branding

Event Planning & Delivery

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the planning lifecycle
  • Lead onsite delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and professionalism

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Source, negotiate, and contract suppliers in line with budget and compliance standards
  • Manage vendor performance and resolve issues proactively
  • Build strong, long-term supplier relationships

Budget & Financial Management

  • Create and manage event budgets
  • Track spend, approve expenses, and ensure profitability
  • Provide accurate financial reporting and variance analysis

Risk Management & Problem Solving

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans
  • Lead troubleshooting during live event environments
  • Maintain composure under pressure and ensure smooth execution

Post-Event Reporting & Optimisation

  • Oversee data collection and event evaluation
  • Deliver post-event reports including performance insights and recommendations
  • Identify improvements to elevate future event impact

Client & Team Leadership

  • Act as primary client contact across event delivery
  • Build trusted client relationships
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor event teams
  • Foster collaboration across departments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience within an event marketing agency environment (B2B Tech preferred)
  • Proven experience delivering mid-to-large scale events (in-person and/or digital)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially astute with budget management experience
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capability
  • Proficient in event platforms, project management tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Flexible to travel and work outside standard hours when required
