Event Manager
Event Manager | Office Based | Surrey | Circa £45–50K + Bonus
Gecko Travel Recruitment are working with a multi award-winning boutique events business, recruiting an Event Manager to join their team.
About the Role
As an Event Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the smooth delivery of overseas events, working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure a high-quality experience from start to finish. This is a senior, hands-on position, where you’ll also:
- Lead and mentor a team
- Drive operational improvements
- Maintain exceptional service standards in a fast-paced environment

- 4–5+ years’ experience in travel, events, or operational roles (with a minimum of 2 years in a senior/managerial position)
- Proven experience managing and developing teams
- A strong background in luxury, events, or high-end service environments
- Experience dealing with overseas suppliers
- Strong negotiation and project management skills
- Confidence using systems, CRM platforms, and online tools
- A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence teams
