Event Manager

Events, Awards & Partnerships Manager

Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office) Salary: £43,000–£47,000 plus excellent benefits

A respected UK healthcare membership organisation is seeking an experienced Events, Awards & Partnerships Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile portfolio of conferences, educational events, awards programmes, and strategic partnerships.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented events professional who enjoys working with senior stakeholders, committees, and industry partners to deliver impactful programmes that support professional development, knowledge sharing, and excellence across the healthcare sector.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in:

  • Membership organisations
  • Professional bodies and associations
  • Royal Colleges
  • Healthcare charities
  • NHS organisations
  • Medical and scientific societies
  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or hospital sectors

Experience managing conferences, awards programmes, sponsorship, and partnership activity within these environments would be highly advantageous.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Education & Governance, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of activities, including:

  • Planning and delivering:
    • Conferences
    • Educational events
    • Webinars
    • Training programmes
  • Managing:
    • Awards
    • Fellowships
    • Recognition programmes
  • Working closely with:
    • Committees
    • Volunteers
    • Senior healthcare professionals
  • Developing and managing event:
    • Budgets
    • Financial reporting
  • Building and maintaining:
    • Sponsor relationships
    • Partner relationships
  • Growing income streams including:
    • Sponsorship
    • Exhibition
    • Partnership income
  • Managing:
    • Suppliers
    • Venues
    • External event partners
  • Supporting the development of new educational and engagement initiatives
  • Evaluating programme performance and identifying opportunities for growth

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience delivering successful:
    • Conferences
    • Events
    • Educational programmes
  • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong:
    • Budget management
    • Financial reporting
  • Experience developing:
    • Sponsorship
    • Partnership
    • Commercial relationships
  • Excellent:
    • Communication skills
    • Relationship-building skills
    • Organisational skills
  • Ability to:
    • Work effectively with:
      • Committees
      • Volunteers
      • Senior-level stakeholders

Highly Desirable

  • Experience within a membership organisation or professional association
  • Experience in healthcare, medical, scientific, NHS, or hospital-related environments
