Job Title: Events Manager
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Competitive + Benefits
Contract Type: Full-time, (3 - 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract)
About the Role:
We’re recruiting for an Events Manager to join the Marketing Operations team of a leading UK law firm on a 3 - 6 month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of high-quality events that strengthen client relationships, enhance brand visibility, and support wider business development objectives.
Working within a high-performing Business Development and Marketing team, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of a range of onsite, offsite, hybrid and virtual events. You'll also provide day-to-day support and guidance to the wider Events team, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure every event delivers an exceptional client experience and measurable business value.
This role would suit an experienced Events professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously, and has a passion for delivering outstanding events from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Delivery
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of client-facing events, from initial brief through to post-event evaluation
- Lead planning meetings with stakeholders to understand objectives, budgets and desired outcomes
- Coordinate all event logistics including venues, suppliers, catering, travel and on-the-day delivery
- Deliver a mix of live, hybrid and virtual events to a consistently high standard

Stakeholder & Project Management
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business development priorities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Events team
- Collaborate with Business Development colleagues to ensure events align with wider strategic objectives
- Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle

Marketing & Communications
- Work with CRM teams to develop targeted invitation lists
- Coordinate event invitations, registrations and attendee communications
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to produce event collateral, website content and social media promotion
- Support internal and external communications opportunities linked to events

Budget & Performance Management
- Monitor event budgets and track spend throughout the planning process
- Produce post-event analysis, ROI reporting and recommendations for future improvements
- Maintain the firm's events calendar and update internal event resources
- Review event performance and identify opportunities to enhance future delivery

Regional Business Development Support
- Support regional business development initiatives and local market activity
- Work closely with regional leadership to identify opportunities for client engagement
- Assist with management of regional events budgets and resource planning
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing events within professional services or a similar corporate environment
- Proven experience delivering complex live, virtual and hybrid events
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability
- Passionate about delivering an outstanding client experience
- Experience using CRM systems and marketing platforms (InterAction+, Vuture or Adobe AEM desirable)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience hosting virtual webinars and online events
- Flexible approach to working hours around key events
- Legal or professional services experience is advantageous
