At Xylem, we solve water—bringing together the people, partnerships, and innovations that make water security possible for communities worldwide. We're seeking an experienced Event Manager to join our Global Enterprise Events team with primary focus on EMEA and international markets.
In this role, you'll work alongside teams across Marketing, Product
Management, Sales, and Communications to design and deliver events that strengthen customer relationships, enable collaboration, and drive progress on water challenges. You'll connect the water professionals, technology leaders, and community partners who are tackling aging infrastructure, water scarcity, and resilience challenges together—translating our mission into experiences that help customers succeed in their critical work.
Because this role supports international events, you must be comfortable operating across time zones, cultures, and regional business practices—adapting execution to market-specific requirements while maintaining consistent brand and attendee experience.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities
Develop and execute event strategies aligned with enterprise marketing and business goals, connecting customers with the solutions and partnerships they need to deliver reliable water services to their communities Lead end-to-end planning and execution for trade shows, customer events, executive programs, partner events, and user conferences that enable collaboration and knowledge-sharing on water challenges Manage event logistics including venue sourcing, sponsorship activation, meeting space, audiovisual and technology requirements, food and beverage, signage, accommodations, transportation, registration, and on-site execution Partner with stakeholders to lead planning meetings, align deliverables, and maintain visibility to timelines, responsibilities, and program status Build and manage detailed project plans, production schedules, and event workback timelines while proactively identifying risks and resolving issues Manage event budgets including forecasting, tracking, invoice processing, reconciliation, and expense reporting Oversee agency, contractor, vendor, and venue relationships including contract negotiations, scope management, timeline oversight, and service delivery Communicate event details clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders, vendors, and external audiences Measure event performance through post-event reporting, ROI analysis, and recommendations to improve future programs and customer outcomes Stay informed on industry trends, emerging event technologies, and best practices; make recommendations to enhance event programs and attendee experience

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience 8–10 years of experience in marketing, event planning, or event management Proven experience managing complex events across EMEA and international markets Demonstrated success executing trade shows, customer events, and large-scale conferences or user events Strong project management, budget management, and organizational skills Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across a matrixed global organization Excellent written and verbal communication skills. German speaker desirable Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a global B2B organization Experience working with regional teams to translate global event strategy into local market execution Familiarity with international contracts, venue sourcing, and vendor management Ability and willingness to travel internationally as needed Cvent experience a plus
