Events Manager
Permanent, Full-time Hybrid (2 days/week from Central London office) Salary: £46K–£52K
About the Role
Our client—a respected small professional membership organisation—is seeking an Experienced Events Manager to lead their programme of events with a focus on strategic planning, delivery, and commercial growth.
This role is ideal for an events professional with experience in professional membership, charity or not-for-profit sectors, specialising in events for members, delegates, and stakeholders.
You will oversee the planning, execution, and scaling of diverse events, including conferences, networking events, webinars, exhibitions, and a flagship awards ceremony, while applying a commercial mindset to enhance sponsorship, partnership development, and revenue generation.
The role requires balancing exceptional delegate experiences with financial and strategic objectives, ensuring events drive engagement, revenue, and organisational impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver a wide range of high-quality events, including:
- Conferences & exhibitions
- Networking events & peer group gatherings
- Virtual/webinar series
- Impactful awards ceremonies
- Develop and manage an events programme that aligns with organisational goals, member needs, and commercial objectives.
- Identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities, securing income to support and grow the events portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong vendor, supplier, and stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure efficient project management, tight budget adherence, and robust risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with leadership to align events with organisational strategic priorities.
- Gather delegate & member feedback to refine event offerings and secure ongoing engagement.
- Oversee final logistics, on-site execution, and post-event evaluation to maximise impact.

Requirements
- Proven experience in managing and delivering large-scale conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and/or awards ceremonies.
- Familiarity with professional membership organisations, associations, charities, or not-for-profit sectors as either an internal or external events professional.
- Extensive experience in planning for and engaging member/delegate audiences, with a strong understanding of stakeholder needs and expectations.
- A successful track record in securing sponsorships, developing strategic partnerships, or generating revenue streams through event-related activities.
- Skilled in project management, budgeting, and supplier negotiation.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Awards event management experience is a strong advantage.
- Hybrid/work-from-office familiarity is helpful, given the role’s location (Central London).
