Event Manager – Field Marketing Campaigns & Team Leadership

BasePoint | Full-time | London (On-site)

Compensation: £35,000 – £65,000 OTE

Bring your event management experience into a role where you're not just planning the day — you're building and leading the team that delivers it.

BasePoint runs face-to-face marketing campaigns for major UK household brands — including EE, BT, and British Gas — across residential, event, and B2B settings. We're looking for an experienced Event Manager to take ownership of campaign delivery in the field and lead the team executing it on the ground.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position covering the planning and delivery of live field marketing activity, including residential campaigns, promotional events, and B2B engagements. Day to day, you'll be:

  • Planning and managing the logistics of residential, event, and B2B campaign activity
  • Leading, coaching, and motivating a team across multiple campaign settings
  • Monitoring individual and team performance against campaign targets
  • Acting as the main point of contact for brand standards and campaign quality on the day
  • Identifying and developing the team's next generation of leaders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll be judged on results, not hours logged behind a desk.

Training & Development

Incoming managers receive structured training in:

  • Field campaign planning and logistics across residential, event, and B2B settings
  • Coaching, feedback, and performance management
  • Brand standards and quality control
  • Leadership frameworks used across the business

Development continues well beyond onboarding — we invest heavily in the people running our teams.

Progression

Event Manager is a leadership role in its own right, with a clear path beyond it. Strong performers go on to:

  • Take ownership of larger or multiple campaigns
  • Move into senior leadership and business development
  • Shape training and standards across the wider team

The senior leaders across BasePoint today came up through exactly this route.

Who We're Looking For

You're likely a strong fit if you:

  • Have experience in event management, event coordination, or event operations
  • Have led, coached, or managed a team before
  • Are comfortable being accountable for results, not just activity
  • Enjoy being hands-on and visible on the ground rather than managing from behind a desk
  • Are organised, calm under pressure, and good at reading people
  • Can commit to a full-time, on-site role in London

Experience specifically in field marketing, residential, or B2B campaigns is not required — we'll train you on our campaign model. What matters most is that you already know how to plan, run, and lead on the day.

A Few Practical Points

  • Full-time, on-site role based in London
  • Working hours vary depending on campaign and event schedules
  • OTE reflects realistic on-target earnings for full-time performers
