About TEMBO ACADEMY:
TEMBO ACADEMY is our 12-week paid entry level programme, designed to give aspiring marketers hands-on experience in marketing campaigns and strategic projects for live events. As a TEMBO Marketing Assistant, you will receive mentorship, training, and exposure to real-world clients and campaigns in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Following successful completion of the 12 week training, you’ll transition into a permanent position in our Marketing Agency to develop your skills and support our clients on a range of event projects.

Role Overview:
As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll support the delivery of marketing campaigns for a variety of exciting events. You'll gain practical experience across email and digital platforms, learn from experienced marketers, and contribute to the execution and optimisation of global campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Support:
- Assist with the planning and execution of multi-channel and single-channel marketing campaigns
- Support the team in meeting key deadlines and ensuring campaign goals are met

Content & Copywriting:
- Help create compelling marketing content such as emails, social posts, and graphics
- Assist with scheduling content across platforms and ensuring consistent branding

Email & Social Media Campaigns:
- Support the planning and execution of email marketing campaigns
- Assist with social media content creation, scheduling, and basic analytics reporting

Client Coordination:
- Join internal calls with managers to understand campaign progress
- Help prepare progress reports, updates, and recommendations

Reporting & Analytics:
- Support campaign reporting by gathering data and helping prepare presentations and insights
- Learn how to track performance against KPIs and contribute to optimisation efforts

Additional experience:
- Assist with media partnerships, delve into telemarketing, or support with back-end website development
- Contribute to internal PR and strategic planning sessions
- Help maintain accurate campaign records and client documentation

An ideal candidate will have:
- A genuine interest in marketing and events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative, enthusiastic, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Organised and detail-oriented, with a proactive attitude
- Comfortable using digital tools (any experience with Canva, social platforms, email marketing, or CRMs is a bonus but not required)
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, working both from the TEMBO offices and face to face with our client partners.

Location:
China Works, SE1 7SJ – approximately 10-minutes’ walk from Vauxhall train and underground station, or 20-minute walk from Waterloo train and underground station. 3 days per week in-office and 2 days working from home.
