Marketing & Events Manager

The Marketing & Events Manager will lead the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of the firm's UK and international events programme, ensuring events support strategic business objectives, enhance client engagement, and maximize return on investment. The role also includes line management responsibility for a Marketing & Events Executive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the firm's events strategy, aligning activity with marketing and business development objectives.
  • Plan and oversee the delivery of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including seminars, conferences, webinars, client hospitality, and internal events.
  • Manage the events calendar, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and quality control.
  • Work closely with lawyers and business development teams to define event objectives, improve client targeting, and maximize engagement.
  • Use CRM data and reporting to monitor attendance, measure event success, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Digital, CRM, Brand, and Communications teams to deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure consistent event standards, processes, and post-event follow-up across the firm.
  • Manage and support the development of the Marketing & Events Executive.
  • Contribute to wider marketing and business development projects as required.

  • Significant experience managing corporate events within a professional services environment, ideally legal.
  • Previous line management experience.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience delivering in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to analyze event performance and maximize ROI.
  • Experience using CRM and email marketing platforms (e.g., InterAction, Vuture).
  • Marketing qualification (e.g., CIM) or equivalent experience desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
