Event Marketing Manager - Maternity Cover
Location: London
Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover, minimum six months
Travel: International travel required, including New York City in January
About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Event Marketing Manager to join YOOBIC on a maternity cover contract and take ownership of our most important global trade shows.
The primary focus of this role will be the end-to-end planning and delivery of two major events:
- NRF Retail’s Big Show in New York City - Mid January 2027
- Retail Technology Show in London - End of April 2027
You will be the lead project manager and central point of contact for both events, owning every aspect of their delivery, from initial strategy and planning through to onsite execution, promotion, internal coordination and post-event measurement.
This is a hands-on role for someone who has previously managed large-scale B2B trade shows and is comfortable balancing strategic decision-making with detailed operational execution. You will work closely with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, BDR, Customer Success and Leadership, but you will be responsible for driving the project forward, keeping stakeholders aligned and ensuring every element is delivered successfully and on time.
Alongside these trade shows, you may also support the delivery of smaller hosted events, customer events and other regional marketing initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
