Event Marketing Operations Executive
Events Operations Executive – Marketing Department
About the Role
Within our marketing department, Argus produces events for the energy and commodities markets, while also participating in third-party exhibitions and events. We are looking for an enthusiastic Events Operations Executive to play a key role in the operations management and delivery of our portfolio of global events.
The ideal candidate will be a creative, driven, and energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing challenges across multiple international events, and maintains a strong command of logistics.
Key Responsibilities

Venue and Contract Management
- Research and recommend venues, negotiate optimal deals, and coordinate contracts from start to finish
- Liaise with legal teams and ensure alignment with internal policies

Event Operations Execution
- Take ownership of logistics decisions, including supplier choices
- Lead the on-site team from planning to execution for seamless event delivery

Marketing and Promotion
- Collaborate with Product & Regional Marketing to market events effectively

Budget and Financial Oversight
- Accurately track event budgets and make strategic decisions to maintain financial control while ensuring premium attendee experiences
- Monitor and report on monthly event spend, identifying deviations from metrics and recommending corrective action

Event Delivery Standards
- Ensure client experience excellence remains central to event coordination
- Maintain updated website content with accurate event information

On-Site Coordination
- Organise and produce onsite signage and stage set designs

- Build internal connections to align commercial goals with event objectives

- Generate monthly reports assessing event performance against targets
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in logistics or operations for marketing events, business conferences, or exhibitions
- Proven communication and relationship-building skills, with strong networking abilities
- Strong negotiation skills and process-driven problem-solving
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaboratively in team settings
- Exceptional organizational skills, coordination, and time management
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with experience interpreting event metrics
- Familiarity with researching and recommending event performance improvements
