Event Marketing Operations Executive
Events Operations Executive
Within our marketing department, Argus produces events for the energy and commodities markets. We also participate in third-party exhibitions and events.
Argus is looking for an enुसorksious Events Operations Executive who will play an important role in the operations management and delivery of our large portfolio of events. The ideal candidate will be a creative, driven, energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenges of working on multiple international events.
Key Responsibilities
- Search and recommend venues, negotiate the best deals, and see the process through to a signed contract, while liaising with legal and adhering to internal policy.
- Ownership of decisions relevant to logistics, including supplier choices; leading the on-site team in running the event from start to finish.
- Work with Product & Regional Marketing to promote events.
- Accurately track budget per event and make decisions to keep within budget while maintaining a high quality attendee experience.
- Keep the website updated with relevant event details.
- Organise and produce onsite signage, including stage set.
- Monthly reporting of events spend, including performance against predetermined metrics. Alert and make recommendations when tracking demonstrates we are not on target.
- Build internal relationships to ensure commercial alignment and event coordination.
- Always keep client experience and excellence in event delivery at the forefront of your delivery.

Skills and Experience
- 3 years’ experience in logistics coordination for:
- Marketing events
- Business events
- Conferences
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and relationship-building abilities with the ability to network.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Process-driven and skilled problem solver.
- Ability to use initiative, take ownership of projects, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong coordination, organisational skills, and time management.
- Experience of researching and analysing event data, making improvements.
- Excellent IT skills, including the ability to:
- Work with Excel spreadsheets in detail.
