Event Marketing Operations Executive

Events Operations Executive Marketing Department – Argus


Within our marketing department, Argus produces events for the energy and commodities markets. We also participate in third-party exhibitions and events.

Argus is looking for an enthusiastic Events Operations Executive who will play a pivotal role in the operations management and delivery of our large portfolio of events. The ideal candidate will be a creative, driven, and energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about overcoming the challenges of managing multiple international events.


Key Responsibilities

  • Venue Management & Contract Negotiation

    • Search, research, and recommend venues.
    • Negotiate best deals and navigate contracts while liasing with legal teams and adhering to internal policy.
  • Logistics & Onsite Delivery

    • Own decisions on supplier choices and lead the onsite team in executing seamless event operations.
    • Ensure end-to-end accountability from start to finish.
  • Marketing & Promotion

    • Collaborate with Product & Regional Marketing teams to promote events effectively.
  • Budget & Performance Tracking

    • Accurately monitor event budgets, safeguard financial performance, and make cost-control decisions while upholding high-quality attendee experiences.
    • Update event details on the website and ensure all information remains current.

  • Signage & Production

    • Organise and produce onsite signage, including stage set design.
  • Monthly Reporting & Analytics

    • Generate and review events spend reports, including performance metrics against targets.
    • Identify deviations from projections and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Relationship Management

    • Foster internal alignment with commercial teams to ensure cohesive event coordination.
    • Prioritise client experience and excellence in every aspect of delivery.

Requirements & Skills

Experience & Technical Skills

✅ 1 year+ in logistics coordination for marketing events, business conferences, or events. ✅ Proficiency in excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills. ✅ Strong process-driven problem-solving abilities and initiative to own projects independently (or collaboratively). ✅ Expertise in event data research and performance analysis, including forward-thinking recommendations. ✅ Solid IT and Excel skills, with an aptitude for detailed financial tracking and data management.
