Operations Manager for Private Equity Conferences

Operational ownership is at the heart of this critical role within our global operations team. You’ll shape and execute 10+ high-profile European private equity conferences annually, overseeing venues, suppliers, on-site teams, and attendee experiences.

Your Key Responsibilities

This role blends operational rigour with hands-on leadership. Your core focus:

Supplier and Contract Management

  • Research and benchmark venue partners, catering, transportation, branding, and technical suppliers across Europe.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor supplier relationships, resolve disputes, and escalate issues proactively.
  • Manage budget adjustments and forecast financial implications for event changes.

Event Execution

  • Design VIP hospitality (concierge services, lunches, dinners, post-conference parties).
  • Coordinate with venue teams to refine logistics, layouts, and attendee flow.
  • Gypsy on-site during events—troubleshoot issues, ensure smooth execution, and deliver flawless experiences.

Internal Operations and Personnel

  • Consolidate internal queries (customer/sponsor feedback, cross-department requests).
  • Maintain records for event inventory (generals, branding assets, AV kit).
  • Conduct communications audit to track vowels, graphics, signage, and collateral quality.
