Event Producer
Company: Metro Production Group (MPG)
Location: London (WPP Campus, Hybrid)
Salary: Competitive
Metro Production Group (MPG) is a leading event production agency, specialising in high-quality, customised events across diverse sectors. As a proud part of WPP plc, the world's largest communication services provider, and operating within the WPP Production network (formerly known as Hogarth Worldwide), we are a dynamic and innovative Creative Events & Production Agency dedicated to bringing exceptional ideas to life. At MPG, we thrive on designing, building, and delivering cutting-edge live, hybrid, and experiential projects for our high-profile clients, ensuring every event leaves a lasting impact. Our passion lies in balancing creative ambition with operational reality, consistently delivering excellence that exceeds expectations. We craft moments that resonate, connect, and inspire.
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a strategic, proactive, and highly driven Event Producer who thrives on delivery — someone who takes a creative concept and makes it real, on time, on budget, and without drama. You will work across a varied slate of projects ranging from 50 to 1,000+ attendees, owning the day-to-day production of each event from planning through to on-site execution.
This is a hands-on delivery role. You will be trusted with real ownership of your projects — budgets, suppliers, logistics, and the exact moment it all comes together on-site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- End-to-End Production: Lead the planning, budgeting, supplier management, logistics, and on-site delivery of assigned events.
- Creative Translation: Faithfully translate creative briefs, designs, and concepts into well-run, exceptionally executed live experiences.
- Project Leadership on Site: Run the room on-site, manage freelance crews, troubleshoot problems in real time, and ensure the live experience matches the vision.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Maintain tight budget tracking and reporting for your events, negotiating the best possible rates with suppliers while identifying and flagging risks early.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the design, strategy, event management, technical, and content teams to bring projects to life seamlessly.
- Client Management: Handle day-to-day delivery and logistics communication with allocated clients, ensuring outstanding customer care and strong relationship management.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
