Event Producer - the person who owns the show at the world's fastest-growing AI events company | Remote (UK or US East Coast, ET hours)
Read this properly before applying - this is not a corporate events job.
Our client runs the biggest vendor-neutral AI conferences on the planet - the ones OpenAI, Anthropic, NVIDIA and Google all show up to.
They've gone from 500 attendees to 7,000+ in under 3 years, and they're not slowing down. They already have one absolute rockstar producer. The problem: if she's ever out, the whole thing wobbles. This role fixes that.
You will be the 2nd Producer.
You own the regional and flagship-adjacent events end to end, and you're the person who can step in and hold the biggest show on the calendar if you have to.
You don't read off a run sheet someone else built. You build it, you call the show, and when 600+ booths and 10 vendors are all on fire five minutes before doors, you're the calmest person in the room.
What you'll do:
- Own multi-day, multi-track events end to end - run of show, expo floor, AV and stage production, vendors, venue, F&B, budget
- Call the show onsite and steady the room when it counts
- Build the production systems from scratch - there's no full playbook, and that's the point
- Back up the lead producer so no single event ever depends on one person
- Own your slice of the calendar while she owns hers - then hop to the next one

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
To be clear: this is intense. A lean, remote, fast-moving team, events that get bigger every quarter, and ~30% travel including international. There's no playbook - you have to write it. If you want calm, predictable, and someone handing you a template, this isn't it.
But if you're the right person, it's rare. You'll own real shows at a company redefining what a tech conference is, with a clear path to running the flagship and growing as the whole org levels up. You'll grow faster here than anywhere else.
What you need to bring:
- You've owned multi-day, multi-track conferences end to end - run of show, expo floor, the works - not just supported pieces of them
- You own the technical AV/show-production conversation and steer vendors, not the other way round
- Agency-bred hustle - you build the system where none exists and get yourself unstuck
- Zero ego. You're genuinely happy being a brilliant number two while you climb, and you make every team around you better
- You flex for the event buzz and you'll get on the plane

Nice to have:
- Convention-centre / large-format experience (1,000+ attendees)
- A stage-management or theatre-tech background (calm-under-pressure DNA)
- You already reach for AI and modern tools to move faster - genuinely curious about the space, even if you're no AI expert
The details:

- ~30% travel, US and international
- Around $100k, flexible for the right person :)
The process:
Short application → screening call with me (NOC) → interview with the Head of Events. We move fast.
