💥 Event Project Manager 💥 £33,000–£38,000 💥 Leeds City Centre – Hybrid
ThePlaceToBe are recruiting for a genuinely unique opportunity for an Event Project Manager to join a leading events agency on a secondment with one of their key clients.
This is the best of both worlds – you'll spend 3 days a week embedded with the client, working as an extension of their in-house team, and 2 days a week with the agency, giving you the chance to enjoy both the fast-paced agency environment and the collaborative feel of working in-house.
If you've built your career in an agency and have always wondered what it's like to work client-side without leaving agency life behind, this could be the perfect next step.
About the role
You'll project manage a programme of exciting internal events from concept through to delivery, working closely with the client to create engaging experiences. From brainstorming creative ideas and sourcing venues to managing suppliers, budgets, and logistics, you'll oversee every stage of the event lifecycle before being on-site to ensure everything runs seamlessly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
