Project Manager – International Education Events (4-month contract)
Start date: 13 July – 13 November 2026 Salary: £42,000 per annum (pro rata, ~£14,000 for this role) Remote/hybrid: Hybrid preferred (London, Holborn-based), with flexible arrangements considered

This role offers the opportunity to manage rapid-fire, result-driven events at an organisation combining BMI’s recruitment expertise with Times Higher Education’s industry authority.
Job Specifiation
A high-impact, fast-paced opportunity for a project manager to deliver two major international education events within a 4-month contract. The responsibilities span strategic execution, logistics, logistical oversight, and team collaboration in an environment that thrives on objectives, urgency, and real-time problem solving.
Main Events Managed:
South America Counsellor Workshop 📍 Location: Bogota, Colombia 📅 Dates: 30 September – 2 October 2026 🔹 Scope:
- Manage all client-side and operational logistics for local counsellkers
- Ensure seamless interactions between counsellers and delegations
Global Scholarship Forum 📍 Location: Sesimbra, Portugal 📅 Dates: 5–6 November 2026 🔹 Scope:
- Oversee delegate-side logistics
- Lead operational coordination

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Planning: Guide events to achieve business goals and budgets
- Collaborate with senior teams to align events with strategic priorities
- Conduct accurate forecasting for budgets and resources
- Events Management: Execute two major multi-stakeholder events
- From concept to completion ensuring flawless delivery
- Maintain tick-tock deadlines while managing unforeseen challenges
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Align with internal teams, external vendors, sponsors, and partners
- Facilitate keystingh alignment, maintaining visibility and accountability
- Budget & Viability:
- Contract negotiation, cost tracking, financial reporting
- Standardise cost advisement to deliver net positive ROI
- Risk Mitigation:
- 24/7-response contingency plans to crises, health safety issues
- Address crisis reporting/yyyy to continuously improve resilience and safety protocols
- Post-Event Review:
- Collect and analyse feedback for continuous improvement
- Share metrics with to enhance subsequent event strategies

Operations & Logistics:
• Vendor management (venues, contractors, local suppliers, event equipment)
- Ensure all contracts and deliveries align with requirements

• Delegate Operations:
- Create and maintain exhibitor manuals/handbooks and personalised delegate support
• Appointments & Systems:
- Optimal Marcom booking system usage: Set up, train users, troubleshoot, follow-up
• Event Website Support:
- Ensure hotel booking lists, itineraries and public-facing details are up to date
• Global Travel Arrangements:
- CHASE PASSOVER FORM/S Supporting International Visa Requirement and emails
• Hotel Room Management
- Handle room reservations and reconcile with third-parties
• Client Relationship & Vendor Support:
- Facilitate auditing invoices and route payments through finance
• Sales & Business Development Logic
- Assist clients, exhibitors with sales assistance and lead generation content
• Exhibitors Workflow:
- Maintain attendee database lists
- Generate as-needed sales materials
critical candidate qualifications
To succeed, you'll::
- Be fluent in written and spoken English at professional levels
- Demonstrate strong competence in Microsoft Office suite Apps/Google Sheets
- Have minimum 4 years in high-paced student/private partner-centric events organisation
- Showcase a ruthless attention to negatively-impacting detail
- Reflect self discipline and the ability to manage triage in sequence of workloads under tight deadlines
