Event Sales Executive
London
Up to £34,000 plus Bonus
Company Description
Searcys are looking for a dynamic Event Sales Executive to join our team at Surveyors House within the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors if you are driven by creating memorable experiences, excel in client relations and have a flair for sales this is your opportunity to thrive.
Located in the heart of Westminster, by Parliament Square, Surveyors House and Westminster Rooms at No.11 offer two distinct event experiences: from large conferences and receptions to private dining, brand activations and exclusive townhouse hire, all set against the backdrop of London’s most iconic landmarks, including Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament.

Job Description
Our Event Sales Executive will manage and convert sales enquiries and opportunities for the venue. Working towards the venue's monthly and quarterly budget. Our Event Sales Executives will work with the team to maximise all revenue opportunities, building trusted partnerships with clients and delivering excellence in food and drink to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to enquiries, cost events and put together event proposals
- Maintain customer relationship from enquiry right through to post event follow up, with an expectation to be there for high value events (in a client management capacity, not event ops)
- Support in putting together the social media monthly plan for the venue
- Ensure all event invoicing is raised accurately and paid prior to the event
- Put together menu packs seasonally, checking for spelling and grammar
- Attend industry relevant events where appropriate
- Maintain strong relationships with the venue teams
- Order equipment hire for events
- Log all supplier invoices on the system
- Put together function sheets
- Liaise with chef and ops team and lead on event briefing calls where you are the planner
- Ensure event information is circulated in a timely manner, with all information captured
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an Event Sales role, preferably 2+ years in a similar position
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the events industry
- Excellent attention to detail and strong grammar skills
- Effective time management and comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Good knowledge of the London venues market and current event trends
- Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills
- Proficiency in event management software and CRM systems
- Previous event operational knowledge beneficial, but not essential
- Experience with budgeting and financial aspects of event planning
- Previous social media experience beneficial, but not essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
- Flexible approach to work, including willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
