Overview
Following the announcement of a joint venture between Broadwick and Smart Group to develop an exciting new catering brand, we are recruiting for an Event Sales Manager to join the team ahead of our September 2026 launch. The brand name and identity will be revealed in July 2026.
The new business will operate as the exclusive food and beverage partner across Broadwick’s London portfolio, spanning venues including 26 Leake Street, Banking Hall, Broadwick Studio, Control Room A, Drumsheds, Exhibition White City, Landing Canary Wharf, Landing Forty Two, Magazine London, OXO2, The Pelligon, and Troxy — a portfolio that hosts more than 2,500 events annually.
The Event Sales Manager will be a key member of the commercial team, taking ownership of a portfolio of venues and responsible for converting enquiries, managing client relationships, and overseeing the planning of events through to completion. This is a hands-on, sales-led role with a strong focus on revenue generation, account management, and delivering an outstanding client experience.
This is a rare opportunity to join a brand-new business at the very start, helping to shape how it goes to market and set the standard for client experience from day one.

- Drive revenue growth through the successful conversion of enquiries and proactive business development activities.
- Take ownership of the sales pipeline by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of opportunities, conversion rates, and client interactions within the CRM system.
- Contribute to regular sales reporting, ensuring clear visibility of pipeline performance, activity levels, and business results.
- Manage enquiries proactively from initial contact through to confirmation, converting them into profitable and successfully delivered events.
Business Development, Key Client & Venue Accounts Management
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the corporate, brand, and cultural sectors.
- Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with venues, agencies, partners, and key clients to generate repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Lead and support client pitches, proposals, and strategic business opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts across Broadwick venues and partner locations, delivering exceptional account management and fostering lasting relationships.
- Collaborate closely with venue and operational teams to maximize sales opportunities, develop competitive proposals, and represent Broadwick Hospitality professionally and confidently.
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all client communications and proposals.
- Facilitate a seamless transition between the sales and event planning stages, keeping clients informed and confident throughout the process.
- Develop compelling proposals and event concepts by translating client briefs into creative, practical, and commercially viable solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
