Event Sourcing Manager - Remote, UK Based
Event Sourcing Manager
Dynamic and organised individuals thrive in this role. The Event Sourcing Manager collaborates closely with clients to align meeting goals with venue and destination services while working seamlessly with internal teams and external stakeholders.
About the Role
No two days are the same—this is a fast-paced, relationship-driven position requiring exceptional negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Client and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Consult directly with external and internal clients on RFP requirements
- Partner with M&IW Program Managers
- Actively participate in team calls (remote coordination)
- Attend hotel presentations/webinars and coordinate client inspections (onsite/digital)
RFP Management
- Create and manage RFPs in Cvent and other web applications
- Oversee the full RFP lifecycle:
- Work with hotels/venues to clarify responses
- Develop client response comparison grids
- Guide decision-making and negotiate terms/concessions
- Finalise contracts and secure venue confirmation
Operational Execution
- Independently manage Tier 4 and Tier 5 programs
- Track, report, and audit cost savings in web applications and internal platforms
- Manage multiple parties in the sourcing process: clients, global sales, venue coordinators, and internal planners
- Handle scheduling, logistics, and travel coordination as needed
Negotiation and Financial Oversight
- Drive cost savings across projects
- Contribute to strategic business decisions aligned with client needs
- Lead verbal negotiations and execute legally robust contracts

Client Service & Accountability
- Provide onsite support (non-essential activities)*
- Prolonged standing (up to 4-hour sessions), frequent movement, and event logistics
- Lifting/carrying (max. 25–40 lbs; heavier lifts with assistance)
- Travel to diverse venues (including unpredictable environments)
(Note: Physical tasks during live events are conditional; the primary focus remains on planning, communication, and virtual coordination.)
Workplace Adaptability
- Operating hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (CST), with flexibility for time zone differences (aligns with UK: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (GMT+)
- Ability to handle non-meeting responsibilities as assigned by leadership
What We Expect

Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in the meetings industry; preference for those with venue sourcing expertise.
- Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent industry experience
- Benchmark certifications such as HMCC or CMP-HC (especially for pharmaceutical accounts) beneficial
- Familiarity with Cvent and collaborative tools like Asana and Smartsheet
- Language: Fluent English required; multilingual skills preferred
- Tech Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, SharePoint, and web-based platforms
- Soft Skills:
- Strategic negotiation and conflict resolution
- Ability to prioritise projects and work remotely under direction
- Unwavering integrity and customer focus
