Role Description
The Event Support & Operations Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater London. This role supports the planning and delivery of MEI events and summits, including coordinating logistics, preparing materials, and assisting with on-the-day operations such as registration, attendee support, and supplier coordination. The assistant works closely with the operations and membership teams to maintain accurate records, track event performance, and support follow-up communications with participants and partners.

Daily tasks include:

- Handling inquiries
- Updating internal systems and documents
- Supporting venue and vendor arrangements
- Contributing to the smooth running of events and related activities
The role also involves general administrative support, basic data analysis, and collaboration with colleagues to enhance the overall event experience.
Qualifications
- Strong operations and operations management skills, with the ability to support event logistics and coordination.
- Effective analytical skills to manage data, track event performance, and assist in reporting and process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with colleagues, partners, and attendees.
- Proven customer service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, professionalism, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or equivalent) and basic data entry and record-keeping.
- Experience in events, sports business, or a related field is beneficial but not essential.
- Relevant education or training in events management, business, or a related discipline is an advantage.
