Event Technician
Do you have experience as an AV tech for the events industry? Sparq are interested in hearing about you!
Role and responsibility We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded AV Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Project Team Lead, this role will see you involved in creating amazing events from start to finish, supporting our project teams in the warehouse and on site in locations throughout the UK and beyond.
This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, problem solving skills and a proactive approach.
The main tasks of the job: Installation, configuration and operation of audio visual equipment Positioning, setting up and testing equipment prior to events Operation of sound, lighting and video systems during live events Supporting IT and network requirements where required Working closely with Project Managers, Clients & Venues Supporting on-site technical delivery as required Ensuring all equipment is handled, maintained and stored correctly Assisting with loading, unloading and transport of equipment Working in compliance with company health & safety policies and procedures

You will: Have a good understanding of audio-visual systems and event technology Strong technical aptitude (AV, IT or live events experience preferred) Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environments Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Have a full UK driving license
