WiFAI (Women & Allies in Food & Agribusiness Innovation) is a community dedicated to connecting and celebrating people driving innovation across the food and agribusiness sectors. Role Description
The Event Volunteer role at WiFAI is a remote, volunteer position supporting the planning and delivery of the 2026 Women in Food and Agribusiness Global Summit and Awards. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting with event logistics, coordinating attendee communications, data management, driving registration and follow-up activities, and helping with fundraising. The volunteer may also help with event promotion, outreach to partners or participants, and gathering feedback to improve future events. This role collaborates closely with the event organizers and other volunteers to ensure an inclusive, engaging experience for all attendees.

Qualifications

- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to support attendees and interact with partners in a professional, respectful manner.
- Event Planning and Event Marketing abilities to help organize program details and promote events across digital channels.
- Basic Sales or outreach skills to assist with partner engagement, sponsorship communication, or participant recruitment.
- Comfort with remote collaboration tools (video conferencing, shared documents, messaging platforms) and general digital literacy.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage time effectively in a volunteer capacity.
- Interest in food, agribusiness, innovation, or inclusive leadership communities is highly beneficial.
- Prior event support or community-building experience is a plus but not required.
