Purpose of the Role
As Events and Communications Officer, you’ll collaborate across departments to plan, deliver, and evaluate a compelling programme of customer-facing events and communications. Your role will cover:
- Creating clear, tailored, and accessible customer communications.
- Gathering, analysing, and evaluating customer feedback and performance data.
- Generating actionable reports and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
You’ll need a proactive, collaborative, and insight-driven approach to enhance engagement and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver a programme of engaging customer engagement events, ensuring they are tailored to diverse audiences and fully compliant with health & safety, risk assessments, GDPR, and regulatory standards.
- Promote and coordinate engagement activities across both online and offline channels, aligning with organisational goals to improve customer experience.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret customer feedback and performance data to identify insights, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate customer insights into clear, evidence-based recommendations to inform decision-making and prioritise continuous enhancements.
- Develop high-quality customer communications—including webpage content, guidance materials, and communication plans—ensuring alignment with corporate messaging.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate communications and stakeholders to ensure a seamless, customer-centric strategy across all touchpoints.
- Act as a customer advocate, ensuring their voices influence decision-making to drive satisfaction, trust, and consistent quality.

What You’ll Need
- Relevant experience (typically 3–5+ years) in designing and delivering customer engagement/communication programmes, preferably in regulated or complex environments. A relevant degree is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of commercial and operational contexts, applying this to enhance engagement strategies and support businessgrowth.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, with a track record of building relationships and influencing at all levels (senior colleagues, external partners).
- Outstanding communication skills: crafting clear, engaging, and audience-focused messaging for diverse channels. -Ability to analyse customer data and apply findings to strategic decisions and process improvements.
- Experience in managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, with an eye for detail and accountability.
- Problem-solving expertise, with success in resolving customer challenges and refining processes.
- Collaborative mindset, working effectively across teams to foster customer-centric culture.
- Regulatory and GDPR awareness, with a commitment to compliance.
- Adaptability and resilience, embracing challenges and driving personal growth.
