About the Role

Are you a natural relationship builder who loves turning ideas into action?

The Centre for Computing History is seeking an ambitious and proactive Events and Development Manager to drive its next phase of growth. This exciting role amalgamates corporate partnerships, income generation, events, fundraising, and business development, providing an opportunity to make a genuine impact at one of the UK’s most unique museums.

In this role, you will collaborate with leading technology companies, donors, supporters, and community partners while:

  • Growing income streams
  • Developing sponsorship opportunities
  • Securing funding
  • Expanding venue hire revenues
  • Creating memorable corporate events
  • Fulfilling the mission to preserve and showcase computing heritage

Your Responsibilities

Primarily, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Relationship-building with technology firms, donors, partners, and the community to strengthen support.
  • Generating revenue through brand sponsorships, fundraising, and engaging corporate event partnerships.
  • Enhancing visibility by delivering impactful events that attract public and professional audiences.
  • Taking ownership of strategic income-generating initiatives like venue hire and community engagement.
  • Developing ** Novel collaboration opportunities** to expand the organisation’s reach.
  • Representing the Centre for Computing History with confidence, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with its vision.

Requirements
