NatureFinance – Events and Engagement Specialist
NatureFinance is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Events and Engagement Specialist to join their fast-paced international team. This role is critical in supporting the delivery of an ambitious engagement and communications agenda through live and virtual events, ensuring alignment with NatureFinance’s core priorities.
About the Role
Events are more than just communication tools—they are strategic influencing mechanisms designed to convene key stakeholders, shift perspectives, build coalitions, and drive policy and market change. The Events and Engagement Specialist will:
- Design and deliver a high-impact events portfolio—focusing on content-led outreach, partnerships, and measurable outcomes.
- Advocate strategically by ensuring events serve NatureFinance’s priorities rather than filling a calendar.
- Own events from inception to execution under direction from the Senior Leadership Team, delivering on time, on budget, and within strategic objectives.
- Manage complex relationships with discretion, adaptability, and professionalism—balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Drive impact through proactive leadership, sound judgement, and high-availability responsiveness, even during multi-day events.
Key Attributes Required:
- Ownership instinct — solitaire problem-solving and continuity management.
- Senior stakeholder credibility — comfortably speaking up on strategic alignment.
- Content-driven passion — mastery of logistics, curation, and execution.
Reporting:
- Primary: Partnerships Manager (Strategic Partnerships & Impact team).
- Secondary: Communications.
Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates based in the UK or within the Central European Time (CET) zone. Occasional international travel and flexible working hours for live events will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination & Delivery
- Plan and execute high-impact, content-led events (online/in-person/hybrid), ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Optimise event pipelines—work with senior leaders to rationalise objectives, prioritise quality over quantity, and consolidate redundant efforts.
- Manage complex, high-visibility multi-workstream events—coordinate coordination, communications, logistics, and delivery.
- Budget and procurement: Ensure value for money, compliance with NF financial standards, and effective third-party liaison.
- Project management: Uphold timelines, dependencies, and responsibilities via tools like Microsoft 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) and collaborative platforms.
- Pre- and post-event operational tasks:
- Own standard communications without prompting (confirmation reminders, agenda-shared materials, supply contacts).
- Update and maintain internal/external event calendars, attendee lists, and follow-up records.
- Be fully available during live events, including during multi-day gatherings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
