Events & Membership Coordinator

Lewes, East Sussex | Hybrid Working | Circa £32,500 + Excellent Benefits

We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and growing organisation that delivers professional conference management and membership services to clients across the UK. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, offering the chance to coordinate conferences, support membership organisations and become a valued part of a friendly, collaborative team.

The Role

Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of conferences, webinars and membership services for a portfolio of professional organisations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing membership enquiries and maintaining accurate membership records.
  • Processing conference registrations, bookings and delegate payments.
  • Supporting the organisation of conferences, exhibitions and professional events.
  • Liaising with sponsors, exhibitors and speakers to gather information and event materials.
  • Maintaining conference websites and online event information.
  • Coordinating online webinars using Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Producing reports, tracking membership numbers and supporting financial administration.
  • Assisting with marketing activities, promotional campaigns and event communications.
  • Providing general administrative support across the membership and events teams.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys being organised, thrives in a busy environment and genuinely enjoys helping people.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in events, membership, administration or project coordination.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new software packages.
  • The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
  • A proactive, positive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to support colleagues whenever needed.

Experience of membership databases, CRM systems, WordPress, Mailchimp or event management software would be advantageous but isn't essential.
