JOB SUMMARY
Vertus are looking to recruit an Events assistant to join our Management Team. Reporting directly to the Events Manager, you will ensure that residents (tenants) have the best rental experience and that you consistently deliver the highest levels of customer service, becoming a Vertus brand ambassador.
- Salary: £30,074

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- To generate Ideas for the events programme employing research, presentations, and assisting with strategic planning.
- To assist the Events Manager in planning events from start to finish. Events such as Wine Wednesday, Coffee mornings, cooking classes.
- To coordinate events for residents, achieving client expectations and being a brand ambassador for Vertus.
- To keep up to date with current event trends and how they Impact Vertus residents. Continually assessing, evolving, and improving the residents’ events experience.
- To manage the diary and ensure that relevant departments are fully informed.
- To order and stock take all items related to Club Vertus and Resident events in line with the departmental budget.
- To keep all event storage rooms, tidy and well stocked.
- To update the Resident app with current offers and promotions.
- To update digital screens in the communal areas.
- To be aware of other events and promotions that occur on Canary Wharf.
- To assist with Influencer and press overnight bookings: allocating rooms, purchasing refreshments, and updating all relevant departments.
- To source and manage external events operators and production freelance staff as and when required.
- To be aware, maintain, and implement the laws of the licences that Vertus hold (Premises licence, Food Act 1990, Health and Hygiene at Work etc.) and ensure that all outside vendors adhere to the licensing laws.
- Ensure standards of maintenance and cleanliness are maintained in Club Vertus and coordination with all necessary departments.
- To initiate works and maintain the upkeep of the Club Vertus equipment.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time by the Senior Management Team.
- To attend Club Vertus Events and ensure all Residents and Guests have the best experience.
- To ensure the Club Vertus Amenity spaces are In a presentable condition at all times.
- To build relationships with residents.
- To establish and maintain good relationships with Canary Wharf retailers.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
- Experience of working within the arts, events, charity and/or entertainment sector desirable but not essential.
- Proven ability of effectively managing multiple tasks / events and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Creative Exceptional Customer Service.
- Attention to detail.
- Confident In talking to a range of different people.
Desirable:
- Experience in co-ordinating and/or managing events/projects.
- Good knowledge and understanding of current event industry’s legislative regulations and relevant HSE, Licensing, PRS, and other related regulations.
- Good knowledge and understanding of all event aspects inclusive of technical, front of house, aesthetics, marketing, and publicity.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Good presentation skills.
- An understanding of the Build to Rent market.
