Events Assistant

Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel is seeking an Events Assistant on an 8-hour contract.

You will earn £13.20 per hour, plus service charge.

Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel blends traditional Edinburgh architecture with a fresh, exciting interior, offering guests a modern, luxurious stay. We welcome locals to relax in our Garden area, enjoy delicious food at BABA restaurant, or pamper guests in our state-of-the-art Spa.

Your main duties will include working across a wide range of events such as Birthdays, Weddings, Conferences, and Baby Showers. You will provide customers with excellent service, work at a fast pace, and ensure the smooth running of our operations. In addition to service during the event, you will assist with event setup, which involves some heavy lifting.

To succeed as an Events Assistant, you will need:

  • Flexibility of working hours, including potential late finishes and early starts depending on event schedules.
  • Experience working at events, or within a Bar, Restaurant, or Hotel as a Waiter/Waitress, Server, or Host.
  • A drive to produce results, working collaboratively within the Kimpton family to provide personal experiences and human connection.
  • A warm and authentic personality, with a can-do attitude and commitment to service.
  • A willingness to work within our team to embrace our service and delight our guests.
