About the role
We are looking for a Client Executive (Retail Events) to join our VMG partnership.
The Events Client Executive supports the successful delivery of VMG's retail events programme by coordinating projects, managing client relationships and ensuring campaigns are delivered seamlessly from planning through to execution.
What you’ll do
- Support the Events Manager in maintaining strong day-to-day relationships with The Very Group, supplier brands and internal stakeholders.
- Provide exceptional client service through proactive communication and timely project updates.
- Coordinate information between clients, agencies and internal teams to ensure projects remain on track.
- Support the planning and delivery of retail event campaigns from brief through to activation.
- Coordinate event timelines, schedules and project plans, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met.
- Manage campaign administration, maintaining accurate commercial documentation, status trackers and project files
- Work collaboratively with category teams, creative, production, media and marketing teams to ensure all campaign assets are delivered on time.
- Support briefing processes and ensure all stakeholders have the information required to deliver campaigns successfully.
- Track campaign progress and escalate risks or issues to the Events Manager where appropriate.
- Ensure all campaign activity follows agreed processes, timelines and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate campaign documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute ideas to improve ways of working and event delivery processes.
- Coordinate post-campaign wrap-up documentation.
- Support the capture of campaign learnings and recommendations for future events.

What we’re looking for
- Experience in marketing, events, retail media or agency environments.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Experience coordinating campaigns, events or client projects.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Highly organised with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Calm under pressure and able to prioritise effectively.
- Collaborative team player who enjoys working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Solutions-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
- Eager to learn and develop within an events and client services environment.
