About Sheffield Hospitals Charity

At Sheffield Hospitals Charity, we help Sheffield's hospitals, community teams and health and social care services provide the care that NHS funding alone can't cover. By funding life-changing research, innovative equipment, patient and family support, and staff wellbeing, we help enhance care from birth to the end of life and everything in between. We're an ambitious, growing charity with big plans and an incredible team that's passionate about making a difference across Sheffield's NHS.

The Role

We're looking for an organised, enthusiastic Events Co-ordinator to join our fundraising team. Reporting to the Community & Events Fundraising Manager, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of fundraising and engagement events, managing them from initial planning through to delivery and evaluation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on juggling multiple projects, enjoys building relationships with a wide range of people, and wants to create memorable experiences that inspire supporters and raise vital funds for Sheffield's NHS.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
