This role We're looking for a marketer to work directly with our Marketing Lead and own how Lightdash shows up in the world - at events, in the community, and through the partnerships that help us grow. You'll have real ownership: deciding which events we do, how we show up, and making it all happen. You'll also help us build and nurture our community of data practitioners. We’re open to people early into their marketing career, with enough experience to hit the ground running.

What you'll actually work on Events. Lightdash's events presence is growing fast. You'll own our events calendar: deciding which conferences we attend, whether we go with a booth, a talk, a side event, or something we throw ourselves. You'll manage logistics end-to-end: venues, vendors, assets, speaker coordination, registrations, and being on the ground when it matters. We run our own meetup series and you'll help grow that too. Community. We have a real community of data practitioners on Slack, on LinkedIn, at events, in the dbt ecosystem. You'll help us nurture it: keeping it active, finding ways to give back, and turning lurkers into advocates. You'll spot the people worth knowing and help us build genuine relationships with them. Content. Turning what happens in the world (events, product launches, conversations with customers, things we're thinking about) into blog posts, write-ups, and social content. You'll also own production across our marketing calendar and help keep the content engine running. Other stuff. This is a startup. So, you'll occasionally help out with content, social, or campaigns.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
