- Assist in coordinating event logistics including venue bookings, catering, AV, furniture, signage and entertainment.
- Help build and maintain the annual events calendar, tracking key dates, deadlines and deliverables.
- Support budget tracking by recording costs, processing invoices and helping keep events on budget.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to confirm requirements, timelines and delivery schedules.
- Assist with the preparation of run sheets, floor plans, guest lists and event collateral.
- Provide on-site support during events, including setup, registration, guest management and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with internal teams (editorial, commercial, marketing) to ensure event details are aligned and communicated.
- Support post-event wrap-up, including gathering feedback, reconciling costs and compiling reports.
- Help maintain an up-to-date database of suppliers, venues and contacts across event verticals.
- Assist with the promotion of events, including social media, email marketing and website updates.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
