An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All as an Events Coordinator in the course department of the company. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to support the delivery of events that are accessible to all and provide a fundraising vehicle to many.
About the role
- Review event requirements for the season and support contractor and supplier procurement
- Develop detailed plans for route facilities including drink stations, cleansing and waste management, spectator and entertainment areas
- Manage marshal, security, drink station, lead cyclists/lead motorbikes, 4x4 and staffing requirements for the course departments
- Support with road closure documentation and TTRO applications across all events
- Manage consultations with key stakeholders, businesses, churches and key contacts across the routes
- Support the Event Manager (Course) with maintaining department budgets, with the creation of purchase orders and cost projections
- Work cohesively with other departments internally to deliver the Run For All portfolio of events
- Support on the logistics for the event through the creation and management of the event schedules, van lists and key event information
- Create and review key event documentation paying attention to detail on the event actual and target levels and how they may impact event plans
- Review event performance and proactively mitigate any challenges for future events (lessons learnt)
- Support with drink station logistics and development of traffic management plans
- Support the Event Manager (course) with third party contractors and supplier relationships and the efficient delivery of key Health & Safety documentation
- Ensure a collaborative approach with information shared and readily accessible across all Run For All departments

About you
- A good understanding of event or project planning with significant demonstrable experience, ideally within a similar industry though not essential.
- Passionate about making a change both locally and nationally through the successful delivery of the Run For All portfolio.
- Excellent organisational skills to enable the effective delivery of multiple activities to support the overall team objectives
- Strong attention to detail, with a specific focus on the quality of performance
- Understand the requirements of the organisation and the events to ensure that all events are delivered safely
- Ability to think creatively to offer solutions to challenges both operationally and financially
- Be a self-motivator; able to work on your own initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure to deliver large mass participation events
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external suppliers/partners, collaborate and co-operate with other team members to get the job done, valuing their input and knowledge and building trust and respect
- Excellent communication skills and proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office 365, Word, Power Point and Excel
- Strong understanding of Run For All and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal
- A desire for both in office working and out of office working as the role involves travelling the country to visit and reccy the routes on a regular basis and days packing/unpacking of vans for each event
- Be flexible to meet the demands of the business, as the role naturally involves out of hours and weekend working

Jane Tomlinson’s Run for All is one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit sporting event companies, staging a vast number of high-profile mass participation events across the UK including the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, Yorkshire Marathon, Leeds, York & Sheffield 10Ks, Leeds Half Marathon and Sheffield Half Marathon and numerous other events across the country, providing a fundraising vehicle for a huge number of local and national charities.

Location: Leeds
Fixed Term (1 Year): 37.5hrs per week
Salary: £25,500
