We are delighted to be recruiting for 2 roles, Events & Corporate Fundraising Assistant and a Gift in Wills & Supporter Care Assistant, within the Central Events and fundraising teams.

About the Army Benevolent Fund

The Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) is the Army’s national charity, supporting soldiers, veterans and their immediate families in times of need. Founded in 1944, our purpose is to provide a lifetime of support to serving soldiers, former soldiers and their families when they are in need, ensuring they can avoid hardship and enjoy independence and dignity.


Events & Corporate Fundraising Assistant

This role offers an excellent route into the charity sector, providing the chance to gain exposure to a wide range of fundraising disciplines and develop a strong, versatile skill set. As our Events & Corporate Fundraising Assistant, you will help in delivering bespoke events and supporting our expanding corporate partnerships portfolio. You will work alongside an experienced and passionate team, gaining hands-on experience across events management, donor stewardship, and corporate engagement.

Gifts in Wills & Supporter Care Assistant

This role, which sits within the Individual Giving team, forms an essential part of our single largest source of income, Gifts in Wills, which typically generates £3m p.a. You will be helping to provide stewardship of our supporters to solicit their willingness to leave a gift in their Will and to ensure those that already have remain steadfast and loyal supporters of the charity. You will also be sharing the responsibility of Supporter Care with the Individual Giving & Supporter Care Assistant.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of Supporter Care within a charitable organisation
  • Willingness to learn and embrace Gifts in Wills fundraising
